Data & deletion

Your information, and how to remove it

You can see what we hold, fix it, or have it deleted — at any time, without giving a reason.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

The short version. Email hello@selfiecondolences.com and ask. We'll delete what we hold and confirm when it's done. No form, no account, no reason required.

What we currently hold

At the moment, very little. If you asked for early access, we have your name, your email address, and the role you selected. That's it. There are no recordings, no memorial pages, and no accounts, because the product isn't built yet.

How to ask

Send an email to hello@selfiecondolences.com from the address you signed up with, and tell us which you'd like:

  • Show me what you have. We'll send you everything we hold about you.
  • Correct it. Wrong name, wrong email, wrong role — tell us the right one.
  • Delete it. We remove you from the early-access list entirely.

If you can't email from the original address, write anyway and tell us what happened. We'll find a sensible way to confirm it's you rather than making you jump through hoops.

How long it takes

We aim to act within a few days and will always act within 30 days. You'll get a note from a person confirming what we did.

What happens after deletion

Your details come off the early-access list and we won't contact you again about Selfie Condolences. Ordinary server logs held by our hosting provider expire on their own schedule and aren't used to identify you. If we're legally required to retain something, we'll tell you what and why — though for a three-field waiting list, that's unlikely.

When the product exists

Once tributes and memorial pages are real, deletion gets more meaningful and more delicate — a family's archive is not the same as a mailing-list entry, and one person's request may touch something another person values. Our intent is that the family controls their memorial and anyone who leaves a tribute can remove their own. We'll write that out properly before launch rather than improvising it afterwards.
