The short version. This website is a description of something we're building and a way to ask for early access. It is not a service you can use yet. Nothing here is a promise that the product will launch, work a particular way, or cost a particular amount.
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to your use of the Selfie Condolences website. Selfie Condolences is operated by Fully Equipped Inc.. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the site.
2. There is no service yet
Everything described on the home page — recording tributes, memorial pages, family review, funeral-home dashboards — is a product in development. It is not available. The example shown on the site uses a fictional person and fictional messages, and is labelled as such. Nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee that a feature will exist, or exist in the form shown.
3. Early access
If you ask for early access, you're asking to be contacted. You're not buying anything and you're not owed a place. We choose who to invite and when, we may close early access at any time, and we may decide not to launch at all. Early access, if offered, is expected to be free of charge while it lasts; if that ever changes we'll tell you clearly before asking you for money.
4. Your information
What we collect and what we do with it is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Our content
The text, design, images, and code on this site belong to Fully Equipped Inc. unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to read it, link to it, and share it. Please don't copy it wholesale to build a competing site.
6. Nothing here is professional advice
Selfie Condolences is not a funeral director, a lawyer, or a grief counsellor. Nothing on this site is funeral, legal, financial, or medical advice. If you're arranging a funeral, talk to a licensed funeral director. PartingPoint exists to help you find one.
7. The site is provided as it is
We do our best to keep this site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is." We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any described feature will ship. To the extent the law allows, Fully Equipped Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited — including fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Links to other sites
This site links to PartingPoint and may link to others. We're not responsible for what's on sites we don't run.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
